2022 Bill Tilghman Public Service Award

The Bill Tilghman Public Service Award is created to recognize outstanding efforts by individuals who strive to bring honor and professionalism to the law enforcement profession. This award is presented to an individual, alive or deceased, at the time of their induction into the Hall of Fame.
This individual who has, during his or her service to the State of Oklahoma, advanced the profession of Law Enforcement by acts of courage, bravery, sacrifice and support for the rule of law in Oklahoma. The recipient will represent and reflect those qualities of honesty and integrity held high by Oklahoma’s own Bill Tilghman, legendary lawman who dedicated and gave his life to the pursuit of justice while upholding the highest standards of compassion and fairness for the citizens of his adopted state. Recipients will be honored at an annual Hall of Fame reception. Families and co-workers are encouraged to attend the ceremony.
